Happy memories of college trip from Sunderland to Germany for a glass conference at Fraunau

Visit to an amazing Technical college.

The whole year group and assorted tutors had a great time in Germany. At the conference Jo met Willem Heesen and was invited to work with him at his studio in Holland.

At Anthony Stern Glass Jo worked with many talented glass makers including Ed Burke and old college pal Andrew Hay.

Shui-Kay Khan is an international lighting designer who has championed Jo's work for many years .  Here he is featured in Perspectives on Architecture Magazine surrounded by jo's lamps.

Christopher Wray was also an early supporter , featuring Jo's lamps in his Stores on the Kings Road, Chelsea and Shaftsbury Avenue .

Andrew Hay.
Jo and Andrew have been friends since studying on the glass degree course at Sunderland University . They also worked together at Anthony Stern Glass in London .
