My name is Joanne Kenny.

I studied at Sunderland University, graduating in 1986 with a B.A.Honours degree in Glass and Ceramics. After graduation I worked in glass studios in London, England and Leerdam, Holland as a glassmaker. I showed my work at a number of London exhibitions including  at Earls court Olympia , 100% Design Show and The London Design Festival. 

In 1991 I qualified as a teacher and have since split my time between making and teaching.

Key themes in my work are concerned with the effects of the passage of time, erosion ,entropy, persistence of image and all things pertaining to the ocean.
